It's just that kind of strange, misty, inspiringly mesmerizing moment where you would much rather just ponder and write in gritty nostalgia than actually go into the clear details of who, what, where, when and how, as one looks up, and he looks down. Once upon a time, she was looking down, but now she understands, and there was a time that he knew, but now he is forgetting.
Know what I mean?
Places We've Been
Greetings Pixie,
ReplyDeleteAnd with the wondrous words of your magical, thoughtful prose, I'm blessed to live in a world where no judgement is ever made.
Thank you for your words, my Pixie friend.
In magic and wonder, your way,
Geoffrey :)
I really love the contrast of the two people in this poem. And the funny thing about life is, a year from now, they may switch perspectives, maybe even more than once. Loved that closing line by the way.
ReplyDeleteThank you! You're right though. People are fickle creatures and change their minds all the time. I'm glad you liked the closing line. I wasn't sure about putting it by itself but really needed that melodramatic finality to end it.
Deletegod, yes!
ReplyDeleteeven with fate, i think there are some places, half way, where our paths crossing each other. i really love your poem!
So beautiful and so true! Love it

Pixie... this so true... when people judge where others have been or are at for the moment... I want to remind them that they were there or could be there at any given moment...
ReplyDeleteWow! I love it, it's so captivating. <3
