Let's Make Lists

This is not the post I had planned (you'll get that one later. Shush.), but I have an idea.

Let's make two lists. #1: Things you're grateful for today. #2: Things you've learned. List as many as you want (unless you're the obnoxious type that'll take that to the extreme. In your case, keep it to a few.) I'll start.

Grateful for:

Clouds like that over a lake at sunset.
Creative writing.
Milk chocolate.
Nature.

Learned:

Some people make punching a hole in a wall sound like a great idea.
They're God's way of teaching me patience.
I'm not liking said lesson in patience.
There's this someone who will never let you go, or let you down. His name is Jesus.
Running in loosely tied shoes is a bad idea.

Your turn!

  2. Grateful for:
    My family and childhood
the new(ish) friends I've made recently
    green grass on bare feet
    the internet ;)
    and more of course :)

    Learned:
To be known is to be loved
Relying on God is HARD, but can feel so...GREAT.
Still learning that I am not nearly as great as I think I am
not making things a big deal leads to good stuff :)

I like your lists very much. People are annoying and patiece is hard. True words.

  4. Hello!

    I’m new to your blog.
This post and list prompts made me smile.
I’m prone to go a little overboard on words so I’ll limit myself to five things for each list. =)

    Grateful for:
    God’s grace.
Journals in which I may spill ink in word form.
    Thrift store adventures.
    Clean clothes and clean dishes.
    Bubbles.

    Things I’ve learned:
Being a "grown up" brings about a mixture of feelings.
College books really ARE expensive. (It's one thing to know the cost another level of reality when you place down the cash.)
    Communication is so very important.
That there are so many layers and details that can be learned about art journaling.
A poem can become a song.

  5. I'm grateful for:
    My family and friends.
    Being healthy.
The opportunity to visit a dozen of countries at such a young age.
Having been given the talent to learn quickly, therefore allowing me to aim higher and move abroad to finish my studies.
Not having to worry about making ends meet.
Blogging, which allowed me to meet so many wonderful and inspiring people.

    Things I've learned:
If I don't believe in myself, no one else will.
I should never give up on my biggest dreams or anything that makes me happy.
I only get to live my life once and I need to make the most of it.
Being a grown up involves making a lot of difficult decisions.
Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end.

    And many, many more. :)

By the way, thank you for stopping by and leaving me a comment. As for your question, it was a site similar to eBay. :)

  9. I love this. This is a precious post. And I agree, patience is always hard. But it's worth it if you can ever aquire it. It has a lot to teach.
